I need help building GenJob! A Job Platform Tailored for Teens!
Hi programmers! This might be a shot in the dark here, but I’m looking for collaborators to help bring a project to life that could change the world! I’m currently developing a web and/or mobile application called GenJob, and I’d love to find fellow developers who believe in empowering the next generation.
What Is GenJob?
GenJob is a job board platform specifically designed for teenagers in the United States from the minimum legal working age up to 20 years old. The goal is to help teens who struggle to find employment by offering a space tailored to their needs. Think of it like Indeed but on steroids, but built more for teens.
We aim to stand out by:
Focusing exclusively on teen job seekers, Making the platform employer friendly, Using AI to summarize user profiles (Name, Middle Name, Phone, Location, Work History, Resume Highlights, etc.), It will have job search options, slider for how far the job is located, pay, and education, and have community section where you can post events, internships, and even you can post! community incoming!
Development Approach:
I’m currently using Cursor to build the app and coding based on good design and user experience. My priority is to keep the code clean and prompts detailed so developers can easily collaborate.
Why I Need You:
I’m looking for a team of developers and contributors who want to help make this dream a reality. While I can’t offer payment upfront, contributors will receive a share of any future revenue if the platform gains any profit from the application and the rest will be used for updates and more.
